About Reverse Phone Number Lookup

This site exists because the reverse-phone-lookup space is full of sites that pretend to search, then charge $4.99 to "unlock" data that was public all along — or promise names and live locations that no legitimate service can deliver. We built the opposite: a fast, free, honest lookup that shows everything the public numbering system actually knows about a number, tells you plainly what it cannot know, and never asks for an account.

What powers the lookup

  • NANPA Central Office Code assignments — the official US numbering records: 204,303 active prefixes across 428 area codes, refreshed monthly.
  • FTC Do Not Call complaint data — the daily public dataset of reported unwanted calls that seeds our spam gauge.
  • Google libphonenumber — the Apache-licensed international dataset behind our region and carrier results for 87 country codes.

Every lookup runs in your browser against static data files. Searched numbers are never logged, stored or sold — there is no server-side search history to leak, subpoena or monetize.

What we will not do

  • Show owner names or addresses — that data is not public, and funnels that promise it are how people get scammed twice.
  • Sell "full reports" — there is no hidden tier; what you see is everything we have.
  • Serve as a background-check tool — Reverse Phone Number Lookup is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and must not be used for employment, credit, insurance or tenant screening. Details on the FCRA disclaimer page.

Corrections

Numbering data changes constantly — prefixes are reassigned, carriers merge, rate centers consolidate. If a result looks wrong, tell us with the number's first six digits and we will check it against the current source file.
