The headline: your searches stay in your browser
The lookup on this site is client-side. When you search a number, your browser downloads a static data file (for example, the records for one area code) and matches the number locally. The number you typed is never transmitted to, logged by, or stored on our servers. There is no search history for us to sell, leak or hand over.
What we do collect
- Standard server logs: our hosting provider records page requests (URL, timestamp, IP, user-agent) for security and uptime, retained briefly per their policy. These show which pages were loaded — not which numbers were searched.
- Analytics & advertising cookies (with consent): if you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner, Google AdSense/analytics cookies may be set to measure traffic and serve ads. Click "Essential only" and no such cookies are set. Your choice is stored in your own browser (localStorage) and can be changed by clearing site data.
- Contact email: if you email us, we keep the correspondence to answer it.
- Voluntary spam reports (future feature): when reporting launches, submitted reports (number, category, comment) will be public by design — that is their purpose. Reporter identity is not published.
What we never collect
- Searched phone numbers, in any form
- Names, addresses or profiles of number owners (we don't have this data at all)
- Account data — there are no accounts
Third parties
Google AdSense (advertising, consent-gated) and our hosting provider are the only third parties in the data path. Ads served by Google are subject to Google's advertising policies, and you can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Your rights (including CCPA/GDPR)
You may request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold (practically: contact emails and, in future, spam reports you submitted). California residents can also use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. Requests: [email protected] — answered within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and knowingly collects nothing from them.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. The policy will never retroactively claim rights over data we said we didn't collect.
